Table lamp from Herman August Kähler's ceramic workshop in Denmark. Made ca 1960s. The design is attributed to Nils Kähler.

The lamp base has an incised pattern and the glossy glaze is amber / curry colored. The neck and the shoulders are left smooth and without glazing.

Included is a new lampshade designed in Denmark. It is made of woven fabric with some texture and off white color. It has a top cover so it will spread a cozy light downwards. 

Incised with the initials HAK for Herman A. Kähler and stamped Denmark.
Wear original HAK paper sticker. 

Nils Kähler (1906-1979) was fourth generation of the family Kähler. He and his brother Herman Jørgen Kähler, who were in charge of Kähler´s ceramic workshop from 1940, brought the artistic expressions of the ceramic production into the mid-century period.

 

Very nice vintage condition with full function. No cracks, chips or repairs. Measurements: 

Height including lampshade: 49,5 cm (19.49") (the height can be adjusted)
Height with socket: 34,2 cm (13.46")
Height ceramic part only: 26,7 cm (10.51")
Diameter lamp base: 12,7 cm (5")
Diameter shade: 28 cm (11.02") 

Light bulb: For type E26/E27 Edison screw-fitting.

The lamp is made for Scandinavian outlet. If you use other plugs in your country you can either use an adapter or exchange it with a plug used in your country.
