Overview

PRICE UPON REQUEST

Stunning and very tall mid-century Danish table lamp from the ceramic workshop Michael Andersen & Søn on the Danish island Bornholm. Made ca 1960s. This lamp can also be used as a floor lamp.
The lamp is most likely a one-of-a-kind piece.

The lamp is made with the so-called Persia glaze in blue, yellow and grey and thin red stripes.

The Persia technique is a special craquelee technique developed at Michael Andersen & Søn by Daniel Andersen in the 1930s. They won a Gold Medal for this at the World´s Fair in Brussel in 1935.

Included is a new lamp shade designed and made in Denmark. It is made of woven fabric with some texture and it is natural white. It has a top cover so it will spread a cosy light downwards.

The lamp is handmarked on bottom on bottom with "Made in Denmark" and Michael Andersen & Søn model number “5652/5” and a small “w” (maybe for the designer or the painter)
