Large oil on canvas painting by Danish artist Hans Øllgaard (b. 1911, d. 1969) depicting a summer landscape ca. 1950s or 60s at the time of harvesting hay. Coast line in the background. Øllgaard uses eye-catching colors with the complementary contrast of yellow and blue.

The painting comes with the original wooden frame.

Hans Øllgaard studied at the Danish Academy of Arts in Copenhagen 1931-34. He debuted at Kunstnernes Efterårsudstilling (KE) in 1933 and was a co-founder of the Danish artists' association "Linien" in 1934.
